The intro offer, explained honestly

How the $5 first month works

New students get their first month of weekly lessons — one lesson a week — for $5. After that month the normal weekly price applies, and you can cancel any time before it renews.

It applies to the one-lesson-a-week plan only. The two- and three-lesson plans bill in full from the start, because they are for families who already know chess has stuck.

Not ready for a subscription?

Lesson packs and the free option

If a monthly plan feels like too much commitment, buy a pack of lessons instead: one payment, no card stored, nothing renews, and your coach schedules them with you. Switch to a subscription later and any unused lessons are credited to your first invoice.

And if you would rather spend nothing at all yet, the free self-study account gives your child guided puzzles, homework and a progress report — no card needed.

One-to-one

Private coaching, on request

Most children do best in a small group — it is social, motivating and better value. For tournament preparation, an unusual level for their age, or a child who simply prefers it, one-to-one coaching is available on request alongside or instead of group lessons. Ask us and we will quote for your child specifically.

Good questions

Frequently asked

How does the $5 first month work?

New students get their first month of weekly lessons (one a week) for $5, then the normal weekly price. You can cancel anytime before renewal — no contract.

What happens after the first month?

Your plan continues at the standard monthly price shown above, in your local currency. Nothing changes silently, and you can cancel or switch plans from your account.

Can I really cancel anytime?

Yes — from your account, in a couple of clicks. No phone calls, no retention scripts.

Which currency will I be charged in?

Prices are shown and charged in your local currency — euro, US dollar, pound, Canadian dollar or złoty. The figures on this page already reflect your region.

Is there anything to pay on top?

No. The subscription covers the lessons, homework, game analysis, the parent dashboard and the apps. Homework puzzles run on Chess.com or Lichess, both free.

Can I buy lessons without a subscription?

Yes — lesson packs are a one-time payment starting from four lessons, with no card stored and nothing renewing. Unused lessons are credited if you later switch to a plan.

Do you offer one-to-one lessons?

Yes, on request — alongside or instead of small-group lessons. Tell us about your child and we will quote for their situation.

Is there a free option?

Yes. A free self-study account gives your child guided puzzles, homework and a progress report, with no card required. Add a coach whenever you are ready.
